Schaeffler in Vietnam

Schaeffler Vietnam started out in Jun 2001 as a representative office in Ho Chi Minh City, and it was officially inaugurated into the factory in the Amata Industrial Zone, Bien Hoa City, Dong Nai Province six years later. With increased demands, services were extended to customers in the north of the country by establishing a secondary sales office in Hanoi city. Driven by over 220 employees, Schaeffler Vietnam manufactured over 6.2 million products in 2016, and 7.2 million in 2018.

Guided by our claim, “We pioneer motion”, we actively strengthen our manufacturing and engineering footprint in the Asia Pacific region, to meet the growing needs of our customers in localization and application development.

In 2019, Schaeffler Vietnam opened the modern manufacturing plant at Bien Hoa City in Dong Nai province. With an investment of 45 million euros, the plant is the latest addition to the growing regional production footprint of Schaeffler in Asia Pacific, and serves as a global production hub for a range of industrial products. Since the start of production, the digital pilot plant has not only been the first Schaeffler plant in the Asia Pacific region to successfully achieved the Lean Performance Review (LPR), , but has also added two new product lines - the Radial Insert Ball Bearings (RIBB) ISO range and Schaeffler’s flagship product Needle Ball Bearings (NRB).
